This simple service amenity solves a common problem for the multi-family housing industry by picking up trash and recycling at each resident’s doorstep 3-7 times a week from lidded containers and disposing of it efficiently and cleanly at the on-site dumpster(s) or compactor(s). Our customer service line is directed to someone at all times during service. Residents will never be on hold. Additionally, all community managers and service managers will have direct access to our service collection managers and questions are handled with expediency.

Steve M. Berninzoni
Meet Steve M. Berninzoni, co-founder and CEO of 5280 Community Waste Solutions,
Steve has served as the Chief Executive Officer for 5280 Community Waste Solutions, LLC for the last twelve years and looks forward to leading the company he co-founded for many more years. Steve’s role within 5280 CWS, LLC consists of overseeing all aspects of business management and development including but not limited to—corporate leadership, financial management, sales force management, client retention, and implementation of marketing strategies. Steve graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a degree in Behavioral Science and Criminal Justice. After graduation, Steve served as a building manager and an athletic business manager, while honing his corporate leadership abilities. Additionally, Steve works with and mentors disadvantaged youth through a school to work alliance program.
When it comes to expanding 5280 CWS,
Steve see’s the valet trash division as well as bulk hauling and junk removal division continue to see excellent organic growth as the overall service experience continues to be our focal point. Steve proclaims that the quintessential goal of 5280 is to provide consistent, accurate and accountable service to all our customers. “I want all our customers to know that we care about what we do and that our job as an onsite waste collection vendor is to make their job easier through our waste management solutions.” In his “free time”, Steve enjoys hitting the gym, attending sporting events, reading history, and traveling with his wife.
Bobby Velez
Meet Francisco Robert "Bobby" Velez, the dedicated Chief Servicing Officer at 5280 Community Waste Solutions LLC, where he has passionately led the team for the past 13 years. Armed with a degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Media and Marketing, Bobby's journey into entrepreneurship was fueled by a profound commitment to uplift his local community, giving rise to the inception of 5280 CWS. Bobby seamlessly integrates his communication prowess into the day-to-day responsibilities of managing employees, overseeing management, and engaging with our community property managers and even residents. His adept handling of these tasks is a testament to his commitment to fostering strong connections within the community.

She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in operational management to 5280 CWS. She oversees the day-to-day operations ensuring that the 5280 CWS team upholds our commitment to excellence every step of the way. Harmony plays a key role in enhancing the overall client experience and driving operational efficiency.
In Harmony’s free time she enjoys spending time with her family, sharpening her culinary skills, traveling, and going on mountain adventures with her two Great Danes.
